Sean Harrington awarded membership to The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS)

New York, NY---- The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) announced that Westchester Flames '97 Sean Harrington from Carmel, NY has been selected to become a member of the esteemed organization. The NSHSS was formed in 2002 to recognize academic excellence at the high school level. This organization recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship, and community commitment.
The announcement was made by NSHSS founder and chairman Claes Nobel ; a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes. "Sean is now a member of a unique community of scholars a community that represents the best hope for the future. I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice, and commitment that Sean has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence," said Mr. Nobel.
The NSHSS encourages its members to apply their unique talents, vision, and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world." Sean is a compassionate young man of many talents, and yet, is often known most for his humble, dedicated approach to life, "said his mom Lisa. In addition to his academic excellence, off the field Sean is a Putnam Hospital Volunteer, 4H participant at the Cornell University Career Explorations Program, and a student-mentor a this high school.
On the field, Sean completed another season with his Carmel HS Rams. This year he contributed to his team with 1 goal and 3 assists. Sean has been a Westchester Flames player for 5 years. So far this year, Sean has contributed to the Flames with1 Goal and 4 assists.
We hope that Sean's on and off the field excellence help us carry our U17 team to another successful season and to clinch a berth for the 2015 USL Super-Y North American Finals.
